Product Application

Aluminum diisobutyl phosphinate is a product independently developed by our company. Our R&D initiative commenced in 2014, followed by the successful completion of pilot-scale final experiments in 2015. We began constructing the production line in 2019 and officially launched commercial production in 2021. Currently, our company is the sole manufacturer globally to achieve large-scale commercial production of this product.

This product serves as a novel, halogen-free, and environmentally friendly flame retardant. It is insoluble in water and organic solvents but readily soluble in strong alkaline solutions. Classified as an organic phosphinate, it features exceptional properties such as high flame-retardant efficiency, superior thermal stability, high flowability, excellent self-lubrication, non-toxicity, low smoke emission, fine particle size, low specific gravity, and superb solubility and dispersibility within polymer matrices. As a high-performance flame retardant, it can be widely applied in plastics and materials including thermoplastics (such as nylon/polyamide, ABS, PBT, and ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene [UPE]), as well as fibers and textile coatings.
